Watch The Legend of Zelda With a Game of Thrones-Style Intro

Nintendo shot down rumors of a Legend of Zelda Netflix show, but this would have been a good intro.

A new show based on Nintendo's the Legend of Zelda may not be happening any time soon, but this fan-made intro in the style of HBO's Game of Thrones will make you wish it was.

In the video, which you can watch above, the camera flies over Hyrule as it appeared in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, with buildings popping out of the terrain as they do in the opening sequence to the Game of Thrones television show.

"Netflix should hire us to do the intro for their 'canceled' Hyrule romp," the makers of the video said in its description. "I hope you guys like it, and remember: in the Game of Hyrule you win... or you look up the answer to that puzzle online."

Earlier this year, The Wall Street Journal--citing an anonymous source--reported that Nintendo was working on a live-action Legend of Zelda Internet TV show for Netflix. However, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has since said that this report was not based on correct information.
