Watch Someone Play the Far Cry 4 E3 Demo [UPDATE: Next Stream Starts at 4 p.m. PDT]

Check out some footage of Ubisoft's open-world action game.

UPDATE: As it turns out, the Far Cry 4 footage on Twitch today was recorded at E3 and is not in fact live. The next stream kicks off at 4 p.m. PDT, and you can watch it above.

The original story is below.

Ubisoft's Far Cry 4 doesn't launch until November, but a pair of gamers will publish videos of their E3 playthroughs today through Twitch. The first 30-minute stream is happening right now in the video above from Twitch user SuushiSam. A second half-hour broadcast will take place at 4 p.m. PDT on eatmydiction1's Twitch channel.

Why is it the easier developers make a game, the more popular it becomes? I loved Far cry 2 because there were no enemies marked on the map, and you had to pull it out while playing and could get shot at etc. You had to rely on sound to tell where an enemy was and that added to the tension of a gunfight. Fair enough I enjoyed Far Cry 3 but I see this game being dumbed down while getting more popular. The same with FIFA and battlefield. Just saying

They should do something completely different. Theyve done Africa, theyve done tropical island. Lets go somewhere else. If this is going to be exactly like farcry 3, why do i need it?

To be fair, in Ubi's email they sent announcing the streams there is no use of the world live at all...although most people would still expect that to be what it is. Even so, it would probably only have been those demo sections they put together for E3 even if it was played live.

Ubisoft pulled another bait n switch... Thousands of people came expecting live footage. They're lucky Farcry 3 was amazing and I'm getting Farcry 4 anyway. I guess the chick was cute, but there's plenty of better sites for that.

@mwamba1 "Why is it the easier developers make a game, the more popular it becomes?"

Simple. Popular means liked by many people. More people will like an easier game because they won't get frustrated playing it.

@mwamba1  Obviously there is  part of the gaming community that doesn't have to have a "Dark Souls"(dying a lot/ challenging) experience with every game they play. So play the game more for the story than the challenge of it. I like the option for an Easy mode  because I don't want to spend 2 days trying to get past a boss or area. There are lots of casual gamers that feel the same way.

@mwamba1 so true but did you try the nexus mods=FAR CRY 2 gameplay style

@nyran125tk Yes, they've done Africa, they've done tropical island, now they're in the Himalayas (which is in Tibet between China and India).

@nyran125tk Well for one thing there will be much more verticality in the mountains. Using the wingsuit in 3 was a nonsense most of the time because you were just diving off the edge of shallow hills.

@spartanx169x @mwamba1 The thing is devs sometimes can't strike a abalance and it makes the game frustrating sometimes. Perfect example is FIFA. Its impossible to master that game no matter how many hours you put into it because EA, in order to appeal to the more casual gamer, put these random things into it to balance the game and give everyone a chance at winning. From a business perspective it makes sense but its the reason I dont bother playing that game online. Your explanation makes sense but the devs need to strike a balance or find a way to separate the two types of gamers

@asiminicd @mwamba1 unfortunately I play primarily on console so no mods for me. I'm Considering building a gaming PC though. I hope they include an option to turn off HUD and enemy position marking though. The game has just become too easy

@mwamba1 I had no issue with the most of what Far Cry 2 did (except the malaria), but if you were playing on console the map was making life harder than it needed to be because the lower FOV meant you couldn't even fit the whole thing on screen. Scrolling the map around is not something you want to be doing while driving.

@Carpetfluff @mwamba1 I actually didn't mind the malaria lol. FC2 for me was one of the best games I played last gen. The map may have been harder but I enjoyed it that way.
