Watch Seth Rogen Prank Unsuspecting Shoppers With Talking Food

Sausage Party is out now.

R-rated animated movie Sausage Party arrives in theaters today. The film stars a cast of living and breathing grocery store items, and now, a prank brings that element to life in a new way.

Sony has released a silly video in which a number of believable-looking animatronic food items, such as a cantaloupe, a loaf of bread, and of course a sausage, are placed into a New York grocery store. Shoppers walk by and are in for a surprise when the food items, voiced by Rogen from a control room, not only speak, but also hurl expletive-filled one-liners and snide remarks at them. It all makes for a great video.

Sausage Party tells the story of what happens when grocery store items discover the horror of being taken home. Rogen, who voices Frank the sausage in the movie, recently revealed that the film initially received an NC-17 rating; a food orgy scene needed to be edited to land at an R rating.

The film features the voices of many funny people, including Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek.
