Watch Pokemon Boss Name As Many Creatures As He Can In 20 Seconds

GameFreak's Junichi Masuda can talk very fast.

To celebrate the recent launch of the Pokemon Bank feature for Pokemon Sun and Moon, Nintendo has posted a silly video in which the company challenged developer Junichi Masuda to name as many Pokemon as he can in 20 seconds.

Masuda, who has worked at Pokemon developer GameFreak for almost 30 years, does a really great job. With blistering pace, he lists off the names of 30 different Pokemon in the allotted time. Like probably everyone else would, he begins with Pikachu and covers many more of the original 151, wrapping up with Mew. Well done, sir. Check out the video below.

Somewhat controversially, Pokemon Sun and Moon launched last year without the Pokemon Bank feature. It finally arrived this week through a free update, though the service itself costs $5/year.

Pokemon Bank allows you to deposit and transfer Pokemon from multiple games, including from a previous generation up to a more current one. With the update, you'll be able to transfer Pokemon from X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire to Sun and Moon via the Pokemon Bank app. You can use companion app Poke Transporter to transfer Pokemon from the Virtual Console versions of Red, Blue, and Yellow to Pokemon Bank and from there to Sun and Moon.

Sun and Moon have combined to sell 4.5 million copies in the United States alone.

In other Pokemon news, Nintendo announced this week that the Pikachu-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL is coming to the US in February.
