Watch New Trailer for Street Fighter 5's Cinematic Story Mode

Bison do bad, again.

Capcom has released a new trailer for "A Shadow Falls," the upcoming free story mode expansion for Street Fighter 5. The trailer sets up the conflict which brings the World Warriors together, and it turns out it's M. Bison getting up to no good again.

The purple-powered Dictator and his villainous organization, Shadaloo, have plunged the world into chaos by creating something called the Black Moon. Based on the trailer, they seem to function like floating electromagnetic pulses that are capable of shutting down large cities.

"Seven Black Moons are deployed by Shadaloo, granting M. Bison unimaginable power, as the earth falls into darkness," Capcom explains.

"Seeing the moons mysteriously appear in the sky, Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li embark on an epic journey around the world to retrieve fragment pieces that are the key to stopping the Black Moons before it’s too late."

There are also cameos from the other existing and upcoming Street Fighter 5 characters, who all "have their own agendas and motivations in mind." Watch the trailer above.

The story mode is to be included in Street Fighter 5's next update, which launches on July 1. Also part of this update are two new playable characters: Ibuki and Balrog.

Looking further ahead, the two remaining DLC characters announced for Street Fighter 5 are Juri and Urien, both of which are in the story mode. As with previous DLC fighters, they'll be earnable through gameplay without having to pay, though they can also be purchased with real money.

Street Fighter V is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC.
