Watch GTA 5's Fan-Made Back to the Future Tribute
Even Einstein the dog shows up.
Another famous franchise has gotten its own fan-made tribute in Grand Theft Auto V. From the GTA Series Videos YouTube account comes a nicely produced video homage to Back to the Future, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. This video was made using the Rockstar Editor and shows Doc Brown (played by Trevor) and a character modeled after Marty McFly testing the DeLorean time machine.
The video captures the essence of the actual movie scene quite well; even the shots of Einstein the dog unknowingly becoming the first time-traveler are represented faithfully. Watch the full thing above and check out the video's description for a full rundown of the mods used to create it.
The Rockstar Editor video-making tools launched as a PC exclusive, but are now also available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the open-world game.
In other Back to the Future gaming news, soccer-with-cars game Rocket League introduces a DeLorean modeled after the one in the movie on October 21. That's not a random date, as it's the day Marty McFly travels to in Back to the Future Part II. On top of that, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones developer Telltale Games recently re-released its Back to the Future episodic series for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
