This story and the video contain Game of Thrones spoilers.

HBO has released a new teaser video for the sixth season of its acclaimed Game of Thrones series. The narration at the start comes from Max von Sydow's character--and it's pretty ominous. "We watch, we listen, and we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry," he says. Watch the teaser below.

The 41-second teaser then launches into a montage of sorts of some of the terror that's happened in the story so far. There is lots of death and suffering on display here. The character Jon Snow is depicted in this trailer--as he was in an earlier poster--but the nature of his true fate remains to be seen.

Bran Stark ends the video by saying, "They have no idea what's going to happen."

Game of Thrones season six debuts on HBO in April 2016.

In other news about the fantasy series, Telltale's video game franchise is unsurprisingly getting a second season, CEO Kevin Bruner confirmed in November. The sixth and final episode in the first season, The Ice Dragon, was released on November 17.
