The original story is below.

Star Wars Battlefront welcomes its first batch of DLC tomorrow in the form of the Force Awakens-inspired Battle of Jakku. This content adds a new map, Jakku, and a 40-player mode called Turning Point. Ahead of its release, EA will show off the content today, November 30, as part of a livestream event from London.

The broadcast begins at 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST through the EA Star Wars Twitch channel. We'll embed that video here later, but for now, you can watch a CG trailer for Battle of Jakku above.

Today's Twitch stream will serve as the debut of Battle of Jakku gameplay.

Everyone who preordered Battlefront gets to play Battle of Jakku, which is free, starting December 1. Everyone else can start playing the content, also for free, on December 8. It's just the first of Battlefront's post-release expansions; players can also expect more paid and free maps, modes, and items down the road.

Battle of Jakku is set 29 years before the events of The Force Awakens. That movie comes to theaters on December 18 behind a huge amount of hype.

Battlefront launched on November 17 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game broke records for publisher Electronic Arts, though it underperformed at GameStop. In other news, the lead singer of the band Breaking Benjamin really, really hates Battlefront.
