Ubisoft announced today that Watch Dogs 2 had "gone gold," meaning the developer completed its work on the base game.

The publisher made the announcement on Twitter, sharing the over-the-top animated GIF below to mark the occasion.

While Ubisoft has finished development on Watch Dogs 2's base game, the studio isn't packing up and moving on to its next project just yet. There could be a day one patch. Also, DLC is in the works for the game, including content themed around the Zodiac Killer. As announced previously, all Watch Dogs 2 DLC will launch first on PS4.

Watch Dogs 2 isn't the only high-profile game that achieved gold status recently, as a pair of long-in-development titles, The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV, also did.

The game is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 15. It was recently delayed on PC and will launch on the platform a couple weeks later, on November 29. You can check out the system requirements here.

In other news about Watch Dogs 2, Ubisoft announced this week that Kanye West collaborator Hudson Mohawke composed the game's soundtrack.
