Eager to learn more about Destiny's upcoming Rise of Iron expansion? You don't have to wait much longer, as Bungie will share new details about it during a Gamescom livestream later today.

As announced previously, this video briefing will include new information about what Rise of Iron is bringing to the table for the Crucible multiplayer mode. World design lead Steve Cotton and Crucible lead designer Lars Bakken will be on-hand to show off the goods, including new game modes, maps, and features. There will also be a live demonstration of the new content.

The event kicks off at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET and you can watch the entire show through the video embed above.

If you like Destiny but don't care much for Crucible, you're getting something new as well. Bungie will also release the latest "Bungie ViDoc," this one showing off the "entire Rise of Iron player experience." It will include a new look at Felwinter Peak and the Plaguelands, featuring developer insight about "every aspect of the journey" that is Rise of Iron.

In addition to new maps for Crucible, Rise of Iron comes with new gear, a new raid, and more quests, among other things. The Gjallarhorn is also coming back, alongside a Sparrow themed around the famous Destiny weapon. Rise of Iron also includes more content that will be released first on PlayStation.

Destiny will be playable at Gamescom at Sony's booth. "But we won't yet say what you'll be able to play," Bungie said last week, potentially referencing what it's going to show today.

Rise of Iron launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 20. In other recent Destiny news, Activision has announced Destiny: The Collection, which includes all previously released Destiny content as well as Rise of Iron. This package launches on September 20 for PS4 and Xbox One, but people who preorder now digitally can start playing the base game and all DLC except Rise of Iron.
