Netflix's update of the classic animated sci-fi show Voltron is getting a second season. Voltron: Legendary Defender Season 1 was released on the streaming service back in June, and fans attending New York Comic Con this weekend will be able to watch a preview of Season 2. In advance, Comicbook.com have revealed a teaser for the next set of adventures--check it out below:

In addition, the site has also released a new poster for Season 2, which you can see at the end of this story. The NYCC event will screen an episode from the new season, and there will be a variety of Q&As and signing sessions with the cast and crew.

Voltron: Legendary Defender was the first show released following the deal struck between Netflix and DreamWorks Animation late in 2015. Another result of the deal is the upcoming Guillermo Del Toro-produced fantasy adventure Trollhunters, which will also feature at NYCC. The first two episodes are to receive their world premiere at the event, and Del Toro will be in attendance to discuss the show.

The original Voltron was a Japanese and American co-production that ran for three seasons between 1984 and 1986. The show was created from two Japanese shows--Beast King GoLion and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV--with new dialogue and storylines created for the American market. It proved hugely popular, spawning spinoff shows, comic books, and video games.
