The footage, of a mission requiring players to take out an armoured vehicle, also shows a greater emphasis on destruction than in previous games in the series, with Delsin easily blasting guard outposts into clattering piles of rubble. Delsin then absorbs neon out some nearby lights, giving him access to a fresh suite of purple-tinted powers--a feature new to Second Son--and the ability to run up the sides of buildings.
Developer Sucker Punch says that the neon powers will offer a more precise way to play the game, whereas the smoke powers will be more suited to those with a less patient inclination.
The DualShock 4's touchpad is also shown, with players required to press the controller in certain areas to unlock doors and switch off a power source.
inFamous: Second Son will be released worldwide on March 21, 2014.
