Watch 15 minutes of gameplay footage from this year's Borderlands game

Check out this narrated gameplay walkthrough for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

2K Games and Gearbox Software today released a 15-minute video showing off gameplay for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, this fall's installment in the popular stylized shooter series. The video is narrated by Gearbox producer James Lopez and Joel Escher, a producer at 2K Australia, the outfit leading development on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It's the same demo shown at PAX East earlier this year.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC--but not new consoles like the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Wii U. The game's world is not as large as 2012's Borderlands 2, and according to Gearbox president Randy Pitchford, it may not be a full-price game.

It has large shoes to fill, as Borderlands 2 shipped more than 9 million copies to date, making it the best-selling game in the history of 2K Games. For more on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

Pretty excited for this game, but UVHM kinda killed BL2 for me.  It became nearly impossible when every enemy took multiple clips to kill, and some parts were near impossible without someone duping... It's OK if they buff up the difficulty a little bit, but UVHM just became unrealistic IMO.  Either way, I'll still buy BL games.

I can't wait for this. Borderlands is definitely my favorite franchise of all time.

That's cool how they couldn't figure out a way to bring it to the newer consoles.

Looks fun, and if they can keep the price range within reason, extra loot is always good.

The smaller size is a good idea, ain't quite ready for another full fleshed borderlands.

Just more of the same. Boring.. The original was the best.

@yngsten I'm sure they don't see it as a huge success. This game is using the same engine as BL2, so I bet it's just a way to quickly make money for Borderlands 3.

Character designs in this are miles better than the ones in BL2.

Looks like a DLC rather than standalone...

I don't see this game sharing in on the huge success of the previous two.

@teske4444  I agree.  They need to keep in mind the people that like to play solo.  UVHM turns every enemy into a regenerating, shielded, bullet sponge.  It's like it made playing with people almost mandatory.

@electrichobo99  It's using the exact same engine as BL2.  BL3 will probably use a new engine, though Idk how much farther they can push cell-shaded graphics.

@electrichobo99 It probably wouldn't be worth it at this point... and it's also on PC so... it's prob coming to next gen consoles as a GotY addition at some point.
