Those who like real-time strategy games (and titles with multiple colons) got some good news today. The single-player demo for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade is now available from GameSpot.

Dark Crusade is the second expansion to the PC real-time strategy game Dawn of War, following 2005's Winter Assault add-on. The new expansion adds two new races to the ongoing ruckus, the undead Necrons and the techno-savvy Tau.

The demo, a 315.9MB file, gives gamers a quick run-through with the game's tutorial. After moving past the training wheels, players can then take on two single-player missions.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade has not yet been rated or priced and is scheduled for release on October 9. For more information on the expansion, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
