Warcraft III hits stores, patch released
Blizzard updates its just-released 3D real-time strategy game.
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Blizzard Entertainment's long-awaited 3D real-time strategy game, is now available in stores worldwide. The company has also released the first Warcraft III patch, which updates the game to version 1.01 and contains some minor balance tweaks and various changes needed for playing on Battle.net, Blizzard's online multiplayer service. GameSpot Complete subscribers can download the 1.6MB patch from the link below, or players can log onto Battle.net to get download the patch.
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, which was originally scheduled for release at the end of 2000, is the latest game in Blizzard's best-selling Warcraft real-time strategy game series. It improves on the previous games in the series with a new 3D engine, four playable races, additional role-playing elements, and a number of other new features.
