Wacky Races Released for Dreamcast

Infogrames announced that Wacky Races for the Sega Dreamcast will be available at retailers this week. The game features popular characters from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon of the same name, including favorites like Penelope Pitstop, Dick Dastardly, the Slag brothers, and Peter Perfect.

"Infogrames brings the Wacky Races characters to life in a fun-filled way," said Michael Harvaky, vice president of Warner Brothers Worldwide Publishing and Kids' WB. "So many great games like this have grown out of the extraordinary relationship between Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Infogrames."

Gameplay modes in Wacky Races include arcade, championship, time trial, endurance, and versus. The object in the game is to win by any means necessary, even using absurd gadgets and weapons.

Developed by Infogrames' Sheffield House, Wacky Races for Sega Dreamcast will carry a suggested retail price of US$39.99.
