Voyage journeys into stores
Adventure Company's PC game inspired by a Jules Verne novel now shipping to retail outlets.
If graphics-intensive PC adventure games are your bag, then The Adventure Company probably has something for you. The publisher has released adventure games under the guise of political action thrillers (The Moment of Silence), time-jumping detective sagas (Still Life), and prehistoric, witchcraft-tinged coming-of-age stories (Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern).
Add one more niche to the company's library, as TAC today announced that the sci-fi space journey Voyage: Inspired by Jules Verne is now available for the PC.
The game was developed by Kheops Studio, the Parisian company responsible for TAC's Echo and Return to Mysterious Island. Voyage was previously known as Journey to the Center of the Moon.
As its former title suggests, Voyage follows a group of scientists that attempts to land on the big space rock. The game departs from Verne's story by actually making the mission a success. On the moon, the lab coats eventually run into an ancient civilization, and adventurin' ensues.
Voyage: Inspired by Jules Verne is rated T for Teen and sells for $19.99. Gamers not ready to take one giant step for mankind can dabble in the game's demo, now available on GameSpot DLX.
