You can now vote to help determine which version of iconic fictional masked murderer Jason Voorhees gets added to the upcoming Friday the 13th game. Because the game's Slasher Backer campaign has proven successful, the stretch goal "Many Faces of Death" has been unlocked, allowing fans to choose the next three Jason characters that will be added to the game. Scroll down to see the available options.

Options include the following versions of Jason as seen in these movies:

  • Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter
  • Friday the 13th Part 5: A New Beginning
  • Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives
  • Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan
  • Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday
  • Jason X

Jason from the Freddy vs Jason remake is not included "due to licensing issues," developer Illfonic said. Additionally, versions of Jason from Part II, Part III, and Part VII are already included in the game.

Voting is open now and runs through March 11. You can vote once per day, and at the end, the three most popular choices will be made into Jason character skins for the final game. Head here to place your vote--you don't need to have backed the game to submit a vote.

Additionally, Illfonic has published the latest Kickstarter developer blog post for the Friday the 13th game. In it, developers talk about the progress made in the areas of design, engineering, art, and animation. It dives deep into the particulars and fans can read the full blog post here.

The developer also shared a behind-the-scenes video from a recent motion capture session at acclaimed studio Digital Domain. In this "best of" clip, you'll see Jason actor Kane Hodder performing the actions for the character's numerous killing moves, including drowning through a toilet bowl and death by sleeping bag, among many others. Check it out:

Further still, Illfonic shared a number of new pieces of concept art and work-in-progress images, one of which is for the game's "edgy guy" character, Adam Palomino.

"He's tough and can fix a vehicle like no other counselor can. We like to think of him as the down-to-earth grease monkey at high school who looks out for others and protects them from bullies," the developer said. "He doesn't take any sh** from anyone..."
