Vivendi goes for Centerscore
Games division of powerhouse scoops up mobile game developer responsible for Alone: The Horror Begins, Surviving High School.
Vivendi Games has found itself to be quite a force in the game-publishing business, tackling the PC market with World of Warcraft and the console market with games under its Sierra Entertainment brand. Now the company is making a push for the mobile market with the purchase of San Mateo, California-based mobile developer Centerscore. Under the deal, Vivendi Games will obtain the rights to the developer's portfolio of current and upcoming casual games, including Office Wrestling, Alone: The Horror Begins, and Amy's Jigsaw Scrapbook. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
