Virtua Fighter 5 revised

Functionality added to Sega's arcade fighter includes gameplay tweaks and the ability to reissue character-access cards.

An upgrade to the Sega Arcade fighting game Virtua Fighter 5 was rolled out today, according to Famitsu. Called Revision 1, it tweaks conditions for performing throws, tunes the characters' techniques, and ensures that holds are displayed correctly. The VF Terminal--a separate machine that players use to edit their character data--has been given the ability to reissue Virtua Fighter 5 Character Access Cards. Players can join a "card insurance" program using the terminal, allowing members of VF.NET to obtain another copy of their card as needed. However, reissuing the card takes a few days, and depending on the circumstances, players could find they've lost data or suffered a drop in ranking.

I don't think there will be too many games that aren't First Party that are exclusive to PS3. Companies would be missing out on too much missed volume, at least in the first couple years of PS3 life.

"Actualy it is running off of xbox 360 based chipset. Just like many games run off the Naomi board (Dreamcast but with more Ram)." Who the heck told you the Lindbergh is based on the 360? Just because they both use PC parts doesn't make them based on each other. Lindbergh is closer to a PS3 than the 360 just because of the GPU alone.

The arcades may be dead here in the states, but they are still very huge in Japan and this is a extremely big title out there. It is coming to the PS3 because the 360 doesn't sell in Japan. Enjoy.

The reason VF 5 is coming to the PS3 i because of how easy it is for Sega to port it to the PS3. Just listen to the last 1upyours podcast where the Sega US VP (something like that) was present.

Devilwillcry "Is it true that VF5 in the arcade runs on a modified Xbox 360 board but is coming in console form only to PS3? " No that is a lie. it is only coming to PS3 because VF4 was only on PS2. It has been confirmed as exclusive in console form to PS3. That is the dumbest reason ever!!!Remember things dont always stay exclusive,i dont see why if it sells really well(which it may not here in the U.S. becuase vf is not big here)they wouldnt want to make more money and sell it on any system they can put it on.

Sega, I willing to purchase VF5 if you can get Sony to include the PS3. Good Luck Sega! Like always you're a looser.
