Spring is finally here, and most of the country is enjoying warmer weather (there are always a few exceptions). Time to get outside and enjoy that weather! But before you do, check out the console news you may have missed if this is your first visit to the GameSpot News page this week.

GT Interactive announced a new game from Eurocom, along the same lines as Super Mario 64. Called 40 Winks, this adventure game will be brought to the PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy later this year. It follows the story of a pair of twins as they try to eliminate bad dreams from the world forever. Check out our first look at the PlayStation version of the game.

Bizarre Creations' Metropolis Street Racer looks better and better each time we see it - and we haven't yet seen the game in motion! These new stills give you an idea of how the game will look at night, as well as additional details on the game's modes, tracks, and cars.

Nintendo has revised its release schedule for the spring/summer, giving the summer months at least one first-party game for both the Game Boy and Nintendo 64.

We spoke with The 3DO Company's Trip Hawkins to gauge his thoughts on the past, present, and future of electronic entertainment. Once entrenched in the bitter console wars of the early '90s, 3DO has shifted gears to become a multiplatform software publisher.

We took SNK's Neo Geo Pocket Color out for a test drive. The company plans to make it available to consumers in April through direct sales and later this spring/summer in stores nationwide. Check out the latest screenshots from the system's games here.

Interplay and BioWare announced this week that MDK2 will make an appearance at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) on the Dreamcast and PC. The company released screenshots of the game, which is expected to be released for the Dreamcast simultaneously with the US launch of the console system and should be released in the fall for the PC.

Sony made it official this week that it's picked up Enix's RPG Star Ocean: The Second Story for release on the PlayStation in the US in early June.

Buckner & Garcia's early '80s cult album, Pac-Man Fever, is enjoying a bit of a resurgence, thanks in part to a planned reissue of the album on CD. If you're new to the fever, or haven't experienced it in years, listening to the music on digital format will no doubt make you wanna play some of the classic video games from the early '80s.
