Tonight's episode of NBC's police-themed comedy-drama The Mysteries of Laura will feature a plotline surrounding video games. An NBC Universal representative passed along a summary of the episode and a short clip (below) teasing what you'll see tonight if you tune in.

Actress Janina Gavankar plays detective Meredith Bose in the episode, which will see her tracking down a real-world killer inside an MMO. "This smoking hot gamer geek is good enough to dominate a game, but is she good enough to catch a killer?" reads a description.

A basic-looking MMO appears in the clip below, though it's unclear exactly what game it is. The Mysteries of Laura airs tonight at 8 PM EDT. It's a new show, having debuted only last month.

This isn't the first time a major network TV show has featured a plotline about video games. An episode of GameSpot parent company CBS' The Big Bang Theory from earlier this year saw main character Sheldon debating if he should buy an Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
