Ukrainian development studio GSC Game World has launched the official Web site for its upcoming tactical action game Venom. The game takes place in the near future after the Earth has narrowly escaped a collision with a comet. The near miss caused an enormous meteor shower that brought, along with fire and destruction, numerous alien spores. The parasitic alien life-forms quickly developed and spread aggressively across the planet.

Venom follows the story of a human soldier taking part in a massive military campaign to resist the alien invasion. The game includes 13 large 3D levels featuring both indoor and outdoor environments and day and night missions. Players control two characters - the main character and a sidekick - and must make use of both stealth and firepower in order to be successful. A multiplayer mode supports up to eight players over a LAN or Internet connection.
