Summer is typically noted in the gaming industry to be the slow season, with few new high-profile releases hitting the market, save for a few sports games. It's no surprise, then, that a couple of springtime juggernauts have retaken the top slots in Best Buy's console sales charts with little competition from new releases.

The dynamic Nintendo DS duo of New Super Mario Bros. and Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day are numbers one and two, respectively, once again. The two games were released several months ago and have hung around the top five since May. They were temporarily knocked out of the top spots last week when Electronic Arts' NCAA Football 07 was released.

NCAA Football's stay at the top was short lived, but it is still making its presence felt in the top 10. The game is on the charts four times, representing the PlayStation 2 (third), the Xbox 360 (fourth), Xbox (seventh), and PlayStation Portable (eighth).

The PSP had another entrant in the fifth spot, courtesy of newly released Tekken: Dark Resurrection. Another handheld title, Big Brain Academy for the DS, graduated its way into sixth. Rounding out the top 10 was Naruto: Ultimate Ninja for the PS2 in ninth and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox 360 in 10th.
