[UPDATE] Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer officially released

Next Call of Duty game subtitled Advanced Warfare is scheduled to release in November this year.

[UPDATE] Following leaks earlier this evening, Activision officially released the full trailer for their next Call of Duty game. You can watch it below in its entirety.

The trailer, which was meant to debut on May 4 with details about this year's Call of Duty game, has come out well ahead of its intended date. The next Call of Duty will officially be titled Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and has a scheduled release date of November 4 this year.

As you can see in the trailer below, Kevin Spacey will play a prominent role in the game. And Advanced Warfare also features hoverbikes and exosuits with enhanced jumping abilities.

Does anyone play these games any more?

The ideas in the trailer seem cool, but I still wont touch it. Also, I know its not all about graphics but seriously, this game still looks like its recycling old engines and last gen graphics, I bet if they skiooed one year without releasing a COD game and spent extra time on making a new engine, and new gameplay mechanics it wouldnt be half bad. (aka not the same as all the others)

i was just waiting on some really realistic version of ww2 or even cold war eventhough they had it in the black ops. why not a fictional setting where us and russia fight against china and india so we get to play both with us and russian military toys which would be dope. laser beam and tech suits sound really awful for cod srsly. black ops 2 was kinda off already.

Since WW 2 being "ancient warfare", modern days being "modern warfare" now we're going in the near future in "advanced warfare" ? New trilogy in development ? Great ... now teenagers really WON'T be leaving their rooms ... and they'll ask for more money from mommy and daddy to play the "next big thing" and its DLCs. Life is great.

Oh my God! Some of you need to find yourselves a little more quality time away from the monitor... So much hate on something that A) we know very little about, and B) is unique, and fresh for Call of Duty. So they went futuristic and because of that it's AUTOMATICALLY assumed to be a knock-off. Well I say to all of you hating to go fuck off. You people jump to conclusions with a hair trigger.

I am wondering, why most people hate COD series ?

It's the exact same character Kevin Spacey plays in House of Cards. The same accent, the same attitude, the same philosophy. This game is just House of Cards in the future.

This is perhaps the least imaginative direction Call of Duty could have possibly gone.

Found out from the trailer about the story and also the wikia

" Set in year 2054,A Private Military Corporation Known as the Atlas Corporation, Led by Jonathan Irons Wages war On it's Own Federal Government Because Irons thinks His Government has failed to reinstate Democracies in Countrys and America."

From what i saw in the trailer, There will be 2 Character you play as, The Atlas Corp Mercs That are attacking the Government, And the US Army soldiers that must defend it. I like how it will let you see two sides of a story, I think that helps immerse the players in the story (BTW I hate the Multiplayer in COD So much i only play it for co-op or Singleplayer But mainly Singleplayer)

is it too much to hope that the story will cover both factions that seems to collide in the story? The Kevin Spacey and the 'rebel'? And i really hope that the writer will use Kevin Spacey as good as possible, it will be a great waste just to make him a power hungry dictator.

btw, although i never really care with CoD's graphics (as long as they run in smooth 60 fps), i think for a game that truly made for next gen console (i know it will be ported to last gen later), it still not as captivating as the best looking games from PS3 and Xbox 360 like Killzone 3, Battlefield 3 and 4, Uncharted 3, The Last of Us, and Max Payne 3. What the hell?

A letter to those against COD:

This game clearly did not start development last May...stop comparing it to Titanfall.  Titanfall was not shown to anyone till after this game had already started development! Sure it's Call of Duty and people are sick of the same thing, but it gets Activision money!  They cannot change the engine because COD games start development years before a trailer is shown, COD games are not made in a year, but many years! They probably have 4 or 5 other games already being made!  They cannot just change over to CryEngine or something, making games simply does not work like that! Recreating everything in a new engine takes too much time! COD will keep being the same thing every year with minor tweaks and changes, yet people still buy it!  This looks to at least attempt to change up the tried and true COD formula, but what do people say? You guys keep bashing it! I am not defending Activision's money grubbing ways, but think about it from their perspective.  COD makes tons of money every year.  They already have multiple games in the works.  If they change too much people will complain it isn't COD anymore and not buy it, but if they keep too much the same people won't buy it because it is the same.  COD's success comes from it the developers mastering a way to add small things to interest people into picking up the game again next year.  Sports games do it every year!  COD is like football, soccer, hockey, or baseball.  Having a devoted fanbase that love it for what it is.  People don't whine that FIFA is the same every year...why do they complain about COD? Cuz it takes more to make? No...dumb reason!  COD's fans love COD for being COD.  More people care about COD for what it is than people who berate it for being repetitive.  Sorry to go on a rant but I am sick of people not even thinking about maybe why Activision does this every year.  I don't care if everyone just goes "TL:DR"  but those of you who do can be considered all that much smarter for doing so.  Thank you.

Sincerely:

A Man Who Thinks All Games Deserve a Chance.

@Xirexor Because they feel that it's a blight on the industry because of it's annual releases. They feel that because there's "little change" that it's downgrading the market allowing other devs to follow a similar infrastructure. It's a quantity over quality matter. Assassins Creed has taken a page from Activision and most feel that the quality of assassins creed has plummeted. What most of these people fail to realize is that there are multiple studios that work on Call of Duty and now we have three year development cycles. Let's not forget that Call of Duty offers a blockbuster single player and a highly addictive multiplayer with one of the largest online communities to date. True the multiplayer hasn't changed much over the years, but if it isn't broke don't fix it, but instead improve it which is what happens every year. So to answer your question it's blind ignorance, or just jumping the bandwagon.

@sensei_hEnRY  I'd love to see Democracy NOT be the good side for once. I'm so tired of fighting for it in game after game. Just for once, I'd love to try to overthrow the government and put a dictator in power. If this game can pull that off, and make the politics believable, then this might be the first CoD that I'll buy new.

I don't think anyone is akaimg cod to change as much as your making with magic powers and dragons and stuff.

Cod should be cod. Bit for how long? Wwe is a massive example. Same every year. Nothing. Fixed,

I don't mind the product being SIMILAR (not same) as long as the glitches and stuff are removed.

But for me it's time to try another route than cod.

@Xirexor It seems that if a game isn't in development for a minimum of three years then it's automatically crucified and labeled unfit for gaming.

og_bladez
og_bladez

@ohara1974 Oh shut up! If that's the case then everything is a ripoff of everything else. Find a legitimate reason to hate the game you bandwagon jumping hypocrite.

HAHAHA HE STILL THINKS AMERICA IS A DEMOCRACY!!!! rotflmfao lol hahaha america a democracy thats a good one.....its a plutocracy......

the wealthy/powerful trot out their 2 pre approved candidates that will screw you over to make them richer...republican or democrat they fund them both (cant lose) then we all argue about the social BS....because thats really the only place the candidates differ.....as for economics democrats and republicans are the exact same........they both protect the ultra powerful and ultra rich.....thats why they dont go to jail.....ever! affluenza anyone?

I would LOVE TO PLAY ON THE SIDE THAT TAKES THAT DOWN!!!!

unfortunately some call that Communism.....but its not its giving the republic back to the people.....

@bilalmvw They will keep making games until people are tired of them, its funny how there are all these haters just waiting to bash the next COD. If you don't care for a series, then don't play them, plain and simple, let people enjoy their games, No one is forcing you to play COD. Personally i never was interested in the whole COD craze, but seeing how this might end up like a Crysis, im stoked.
