Just in case you get bored of trying to stave off death.

Until Dawn isn't a game you'll want to play around Halloween just because it's scary; to celebrate the holiday, it's now hiding a number of pumpkins for players to find.

The details of this are somewhat vague, but executive producer Pete Samuels revealed in a PlayStation Blog post that the latest update added 11 pumpkins. These are hidden throughout the game and will only show up "around Halloween," so you have a limited (albeit unspecific) amount of time to track them down.

"They aren't all easy to find and you might have to move the camera around to spot all of them," Samuels explained. "If you find one, take a screenshot and tag it with #UntilDawnPumpkin. We'll be keeping an eye on how many people spot them and will retweet some of our favourites--so get searching!"

Searching the hashtag on Twitter reveals some of the pumpkins have already been found.

Also as part of developer Supermassive's plans to celebrate Halloween, the studio will be hosting a livestream on October 30 through the PS4's PlayStation Events feature. Samuels said the developers will be playing the game and "talk[ing] about how we created certain scenes and what we were trying to achieve."

Recent rumors suggested that a virtual reality version of Until Dawn was in the works. During a Reddit AMA, the developer declined to discuss this. It did, however, state that it wasn't working on any Until Dawn DLC, but had started on its next game. Then, during Sony's Paris Games Week media briefing, the rumored Until Dawn VR game was revealed as an exclusive for PlayStation VR called Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.
