Hmm...

...anyway, I played BaS1 and it was more of the same thing as Infinite.  My opinion of both isn't very high.  That's all I'll say on the matter.

Its pretty crappy that the DLC's are not any cheaper, when you can get Infinite On Steam for 10.00 some times! When that happens the DLC is still full price!

I just played this game yesterday and it only confirm me that FPS games are not only full of nonsense, but also as bored as hell.

Since I got a new PC I should just shell out the money for this, ps3 graphics are an eyesore now : (

It's was fun while it lasted but all things considered , short! .... Aaah, so they wanted to keep some of the game for DLC !!

Its Gameplay was Common but Story was Unique, but this Game is Overrated for Sure ;)

Oh wow. Didn't this come up, and now they already have a breakdown of it? Nice. It feels really weird to me because my focus is so much on, if not work or what have you, the Xbox One and PS4 and the games that are coming out on those, so thinking back to last-gen for things like this and The Last of Us DLC is... Well like I said, weird. I'm excited for them though. I personally really enjoyed the few hours it took me to go through the first Episode. The sights and sounds alone had me entranced.

Scrolls down page not looking at content.....

Looks like the prime time to get my hands on these, when the second comes out. I was waiting on since I didn't want to play the first without the second. Especially since people said it was a little shaky by itself.

I was really looking forward to a return to Rapture. However the first one got a bad review, so I'm waiting to see how this one fairs before I get the season pass

I don't want to watch the video, but I have one question: Is Andrew Ryan one the of "faces" that resurfaces? (Keeping my expectations in check, that's all).

I almost forgot that the DLC was episodic. o_o

I like Bioshock Infinite, but not enough to be milked bone dry by the developers.

@JimmyThreeBallsAgreed, though quite a few people, including myself, were able to pick up the season pass on steam for $4.99 during the steam winter sale when 2K posted the wrong price. They fixed it back to $19.99 soon after, but for ~5 hours total it was a real deal

@jark888 depends on the fps game..  mindless shooters that only focus on multiplayer online deathmatches, ect, yes..  these games "if you even wanna call them that" are pure sh!t..  but occasionally one comes along that impresses, unfortunately Bioshock Infinite most certainly is NOT one of them.

Didja beat it yesterday to?

Obviously not, the DLC's have nothing to do with the main storyline of Bioshock Infinite. Plus it's obvious they didn't even start working on them until way after they finished the game.

It's good if you enjoy story driven games, I loved it...played and beat the game a few times on PC and xbox.

@themc_7 NO! You shouldn't have waited. It was great :). Obviously you'll take the word of Kevin's over mine since you have no idea who I am, and that's understandable, but still, I do recommend not waiting. It is short, but that's not necessarily a huge problem, at least to me. The thing I was and still am conflicted about is the ending of it. I'm not going to spoil it, but I'll just say, while I'm conflicted, I don't mean I am conflicted in the way of liking it and disliking it as if it were a disappointment. I just felt on the side of disliking it, it was because the vibe was extremely violent and evil.

@19James89 how it's milking? it's 2nd story dlc and there was 1 more dlc before Arena with neverending enmies yeah milking.

Grenadeh

@19James89 You can hardly call this milking. BioShock is one of the only games that doesn't have bullshit DLC. Minerva's Den for example was a good add-on. Burial at Sea is certainly worth the season pass.

@Trev9421  Nope. I've spent too many hours on the game(to the point where I'm about to transport Elisabeth to air ship), but found no fun out of the game.

As pretty and chic as it was, the gunplay itself wasn't really amazing...I mean, Clive Barker's Undying already had the same gameplay, except for those (pretty minor) perks.

@NTM23 @themc_7 yeah I heard it was really short and the story was sort of lacking. Maybe I'll try it out tho. I'm a big bioshock fan and I love the lore of Rapture.

NTM23

@PostNothing I know you said never mind, so you probably don't want me to say this, but still, it's not that big if you know Burial At Sea, so read what comes further if you want, if you don't, then don't....................

OK, so no, he's not in it. He's hardly mentioned and he's hardly a focus other than the ramblings of the denizens of Rapture, and you can, if you take it slow and pay attention, you can hear his PA talk like you did in the original.

themc_7

@NTM23 @themc_7 I agree completely. Columbia lacked the atmosphere, and feeling of Rapture. I think that's why I didn't really love Infinite. Once I knew the story, there wasn't much to draw you in. But I'm happy to hear Rapture is still Rapture!

@themc_7

I don't know how you'll feel about it, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, I am referring to Rapture alone, but I guess I also mean in general as well. There's a lot of little interesting things to search out for, and they're just extremely well presented in my opinion, like short Sander Cohen videos which are just nonsensical; a Rapture equivalent to Infinite's kinetoscopes, though done better in this DLC I think (which is also what you watch the short Cohen videos on, though somewhat differently), or original songs about certain plasmids and the Little Sisters, which really immersed me into Rapture again. Then you have the licensed music that plays.

I think my favorite moment in that aspect is of one where you walk off the beaten path and go into a diner, a song by Patsy Cline called She's Got You plays and is pretty good. The original soundtrack by Schyman is also very good. If you loved the PA talk in the original, where they would say something like "A Rapture reminder", or where a man and woman talk about what have you, it's all in there and I think will bring a smile to your face; most of it new, and some (like Andrew Ryan's PA) the same.

I was initially worried, because I felt they were going to... Infinite-ize it, but nope, Rapture's still Rapture. I like Columbia quite a bit, but I felt the focus was far less on the setting, and more about the characters and the infinite-universe aspect which was revealed in the end. I don't know if this is the correct word to use, but in the end, literally, Columbia just seemed like a facade, and was simply meant to be 'another city'.

It came off as if the game was saying "Eh, it's just this other city. Not really important. It has a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and that's interesting, but whatever... INFINITE UNIVERSES :O" I loved that story aspect so it's actually kind of conflicting, because I simultaneously love what they did, and kind of see it as if they had tricked the player into thinking and expecting it to be one thing, when it was something else entirely, but then again, I was hoping to be entranced in another world like Rapture, and that didn't happen quite as well as the original Bioshock.

In the original, people say Rapture was its own character; that's true, but I don't think the same can be said, at least to me, for Columbia. One last thing, after you playthrough Burial At Sea Episode one, you may think "Well, that wasn't really worth 20 bucks." Take into account that there's a little more that came with the season pass, and more will be coming. Anyways, hopefully you enjoy it. Sorry, if this is what you would consider a TL;DR.

@NTM23 @themc_7 but on your recommendation, I'll get get it. You seem to be a true fan, and you really enjoyed it.

@themc_7

I disagree. I mean, I guess in a way, they do kind of throw it together, but for me, it's still really interesting and done well, and even enhances Infinite for me. If you love Rapture, you won't be disappointed here I think. I love Rapture, it's one of my favorite gaming settings and I was afraid I would be disappointed in the Episodes, but I wasn't at all. It actually surprised me, because people were talking about how short it was, but for me, when I took my time on my first playthrough, while it was short, it felt longer than I had expected it to be.

I don't really know how to argue against another in saying how I think you should play this, especially without spoilers, nor do I know what interests you and how much you can enjoy it, but I do think you should get the season pass, and I think, if you keep in mind that it is somewhat short, you'll have a good time. I do have a question, what are your fears about getting this?
