EA's 2006 FIFA World Cup may have been dislodged from the top of the UK game charts last week, but the start of its real-life namesake has seen its return to number one. It knocked Hitman: Blood Money down to two, while another Eidos game, Tomb Raider: Legend, held the number three position.

The other big news this week is the three new games to enter the top 10. The highest was Moto GP 06 at number four, with Dr Kawashima's Brain Training and Sensible Soccer 2006 following at six and seven, respectively. Half-Life 2 maintained eighth place after entering the charts last week in the same position, although the listing doesn't include copies that have been sold on the Internet via Valve Software's Steam download service.

Three other games remained in the top 10 this week, although they all fell down the charts. Pro Evolution Soccer 5 occupies the number five slot with its Platinum rerelease, while Animal Crossing: Wild World and X-Men: The Official Game round off the list at numbers nine and 10, respectively.
