Ubisoft to Reveal "Ton of New Information" on For Honor at E3

Ubisoft is gearing up to reveal a "ton of new information" about its swordfighting multiplayer game For Honor at summer gaming shows E3 and Gamescom, according to community developer Eric Pope.

Pope shared the detail in the video above, which announces a special "community reporter" contest where anyone can travel with Ubisoft to the marquee gaming events. Watch the video to get all the details, while you can learn more at the contest website here (via DualShockers).

For Honor was unveiled at last year's E3, at which time it appeared to be a multiplayer-centric title for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. That might still prove to be the case, but developer Ubisoft Montreal has since clarified that it will have a single-player campaign.

We also recently learned that it's more of a "core" title than a mass market game along the lines of Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, or Watch Dogs.

"For Honor is more of a core game, less mass market," Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinez said during an earnings briefing when asked by an analyst about Ubisoft's shipment forecast for the game.

For Honor is one of five big games from Ubisoft due out during the 2016-2017 fiscal year. The others include Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and an unannounced new IP.
