Ubisoft brings Sherlock Holmes game to US

Ubisoft announced that it will be releasing an adventure game based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes in North America, titled Secret of the Silver Earring. The game is in development at Ukrainian studio Frogwares and it will be released in Europe by Digital Jesters under the name Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: Silver Earring.

Based on Doyle's character, the game's original story follows famous English detectives Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as they investigate the murder of a wealthy construction tycoon. Primarily centered in London in 1895, the mystery will take Holmes overseas to 19th-century India and Brazil.

Secret of the Silver Earring is a 3D adventure title that has players investigate various scenes and interview witnesses in order to piece together the truth at the end of each of the game's five levels. The game will launch for the PC in September with a value price of $19.99.
