Ubi Soft has announced that it has picked up the rights to publish Rage's Rocky game for the GameCube, the PlayStation 2, and the Xbox. The game will feature all of the characters from the movie, such as Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago, and Tommy Gunn. Players can compete in a variety of modes, such as knockout tournament and exhibition, as well as a movie mode in which players will get to follow events that transpired in the Rockymovies. Most of the animation in the game has been motion-captured, so players can expect to see realistic hooks, jabs, and uppercuts.

"We are delighted to have partnered with Ubi Soft for the release of Rocky, as the title is one of our most important games due for release this year," said Paul Finnegan, CEO at Rage. "We believed that it was essential to have a major partner in place who could maximize the title within the US marketplace."

Rocky is scheduled for release on the GameCube, the PlayStation 2, and the Xbox in the fall.
