Ubi Soft reps informed GameSpot News today that the Dreamcast racing games Monaco Grand Prix and Redline Racer will be going through a number of changes that will make them different from their Japanese incarnations.

Monaco Grand Prix will have checkpoints in the arcade mode, classic cars will appear on current tracks, and the game will get a new FMV intro. Meanwhile, Redline Racer will receive an improved soundtrack, better graphics, tighter AI, and two additional tracks. A big license is also said to be coming soon for the title.

Monaco Grand Prix is set to be a US Dreamcast launch game, while Redline Racer should follow in the next month.
