Activision today announced that two titles based on the animated film Shrek 2 have shipped to retail. Shrek 2: Beg for Mercy is available now for the Game Boy Advance, as is Shrek 2: Team Action for the PC. Both games have been rated "E" for Everyone and carry an SRP of $29.99.

Developed by Vicarious Visions, Shrek 2: Beg for Mercy stars Puss in Boots, the swashbuckling feline who stole the show in the film, voiced by the inimitable Antonio Banderas. The action adventure tells the cat's own twisted tale, from his origins as a humble housecat to his transformation into a fearless bounty hunter. Shrek and Donkey show up as well, as Puss slashes his way through the game's 20 levels.

On the PC front, Shrek 2: Team Action is a squad-based adventure game developed for consoles by Luxoflux and brought to the PC by Beenox. Players control a team of four characters, which they will select from a group of 10 of the movie's characters. To solve the game's puzzles and battle enemies, players must switch between different characters and use their unique abilities.
