Twisted Metal Impressions

Sony shows off footage of a new Twisted Metal game for the PSP.

The Twisted Metal series hasn’t seen the release of a new full game since 2001’s Twisted Metal: Black. But there’s an end in sight to the car combat drought: Sony has unveiled what appears to be a new game in the Twisted Metal series.

The revelation came in the form of a video on display at Sony’s pre-E3 press conference, which packed a lot of interesting new games into a very tight space. A seemingly early-looking Twisted Metal game was thrown into the mix. There weren’t too many details to glean from the footage, but it certainly did look early. Most of the ground was completely untextured, and the onscreen display also had an unfinished look to it. Considering that the system is still a ways off and the game doesn’t even have an official title, let alone a release date, that’s not exactly a surprise.

We’ll have more on Sony’s newest Twisted Metal game as details become available.
