Take-Two Interactive has announced that Tropico: Paradise Island, its island-management game expansion, is complete and will ship to stores on February 5. The expansion adds a number of new features to Tropico, PopTop Software's popular strategy game that lets players assume the role of the dictator of a small island nation in the Caribbean.

Paradise Island includes more than 20 new scenarios, new natural disasters such as hurricanes and tropical storms, and new characters, vehicles, and buildings. It also features more than an hour of new music from the composer of the original game's soundtrack, which won GameSpot's award for best music of 2001.

Tropico: Paradise Island will be available in stores in early February for an approximate retail price of $19.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the expansion.
