Trine 2 set for late summer

Atlus sets new release window for downloadable physics-based action platformer sequel on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Trine 2 has received a new release window, as Atlus today announced that the downloadable puzzle platformer will launch on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC late this summer.

Bippity Boppity Boo.

A follow-up to the critically acclaimed original, Trine 2 once again puts players in control of a wizard, a knight, and a rogue as they make their way through side-scrolling worlds. Playable by up to three players online or offline, the game features levels designed to make use of each character's unique abilities. While the knight can handle melee combat with ease, the wizard can magically create platforms and boxes for the characters to climb on, and the rogue can swing across the screen and shoot arrows to take down distant enemies.

Trine is the best 3D platform game ever made. The amount of detail they put into the atmosphere and environments alone is worthy of a 30 minute picnic in the middle of the game just to take it all in. I can't wait to check out the next in the series...serious eye candy and cool mechanics galore!

The art design is fantastic, and the puzzles look entertaining. Great 2D (3D?) platformers are always welcome.

First was great I just hope Trine 2 has us using the Knight and thief more. Whole could be finished with just the Wizard and the other having niche roles. Still great game.

Let's just hope it isn't a boring tedious mess this time around.

I wish they'd fix the glitch that was released with the dlc that reset all the Secrets found to zero. That sucked!! Trine 2 looks everybit as awesome as the first, though.

Liked the original, it just needs more varied enemies.
