Tremor Entertainment has announced that it plans to merge with New Systems and then take the new company public. New Systems will change its name to Tremor Entertainment following the completion of the proposed merger. Tremor is currently under contract with Microsoft to develop a fantasy-action game, formerly code-named Warcaster, for the Microsoft Xbox.

"We have taken this step to further our natural growth and expansion plans,'' stated Steven Oshinsky, president and CEO of Tremor. "With the introduction of the PlayStation 2 last year, and the upcoming release of Nintendo's GameCube and Microsoft's Xbox, the digital interactive entertainment industry is poised for major growth. We see substantial opportunity ahead for us in several new areas, with our game division driving the marketing of ancillary products based on proprietary intellectual properties."

Among Tremor Entertainment's previous projects are Dreamcast ports of Railroad Tycoon II and KISS: Psycho Circus.
