Washington-based game developer Inhuman Games is currently accepting applications for the beta test of Trash, its upcoming 3D real-time strategy game. Those interested in participating in the test, which is scheduled to begin later this month, can sign up at the official Inhuman Games Web site.

Trash is set in a postapocalyptic world in which three races battle for control of trash, the only remaining resource. Players will control the humans, the mutants, or the intelligent machines. Each race has different abilities and weapons, and the game's technology system supports unlimited weapon upgrades. Trash will also support multiplayer games with up to 24 players.

No official publisher or release date has been announced. We've posted some early screenshots showing off some of the units and environments that will appear in the game. We'll post more information about Trash as it becomes available. For information about other current and upcoming beta tests, visit GameSpot's Beta center.
