Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark comes to consoles and PC on June 24

Activision has announced (via Joystiq) that its upcoming action game Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is "expected" to launch across Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, 3DS, and PC on June 24. The third-person action game was previously slated for a "summer" release.

Activision also announced preorder details for GameStop shoppers, who will receive the "Weathered Warrior Pack" expansion. This include two characters--Thundercracker and Skywarp--as well as two weapons: the Glass Gas Cannon and the Electro Bolter.

These weapons can be used in the Campaign and Escalation modes for Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. The Weathered Warrior Pack isn't coming to Wii U or 3DS, Activision said.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is not the only new Transformers game in the works. RuneScape developer Jagex is currently making a browser-based PC MMO called Transformers Universe, which is due out later this year.
