Toys R Us will offer a 250GB PlayStation 3 bundle on Black Friday with copies of Batman: Arkham Origins and The Last of Us for $200, according to a leaked advertisement obtained by Bfads.net.

The same PS3 bundle will also be offered at GameStop on Black Friday, according to a leaked advertisement from last month. Sony has yet to officially announce the bundle.

Other deals at Toys R Us for the day-after-Thanksgiving shopping bonanza include a Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon 3DS bundle for $150 and a 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle for $200. This bundle includes copies of Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports Season Two, as well as 2007's Halo 3.

The leaked Toys R Us flyer also reveals that the Skylanders: Swap Force Wii U bundle will go for $260, down from the bundle's regular $300 price point. Meanwhile, Starter Packs for Skylanders: Swap Force and Disney Infinity will go for $37.50 each.

Toys R Us will also hold a buy one, get one 40 percent off deal for various new releases, including FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Super Mario 3D World, and Batman: Arkham Origins, according to the ad. In addition, a buy one, get one for $1 deal will be offered on more than 150 games like Halo Wars, Halo: Reach, Saints Row: The Third, Lego: Lord of the Rings, Mortal Kombat, and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.

Unlike GameStop, Toys R Us kicks off its Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day starting at 5 p.m.

These promotions that are killing the game industry. Real gamers buy everything in the release date, and pay the full price.

I would have liked to have seen a Wii U  super bundle. Nintendo needs to do something this holiday for the Wii U.

That $199.99 PS3 bundle will kill off any Wii U sales on black Friday. The Wii U is getting destroyed at retail by Xbox 360 and PS3 bundles. Even soccer mom can figure out a full fledged 250GB HDD console (if PS3/Xbox 360) is better than a 32GB flash memory offered by the 'U" plus the 2 "pack in" games. Sometimes even 3 pack in games. These consoles are sometimes offered cheaper the the $299.99 Wii U console. with just 1 pack in game Zelda, or Nintendoland or NSMBU. Plus the kids would have told their Soccer Mom that Wii U and XBox 360/PS3 are about equal in "Power" with much larger libraries of games.

So even though the PS3/X360 era is entering it's final 3 years. This has doomed the"U"

I'd like to point out that Halo 3 was free last month, so that's a pretty awful deal.

$36 for Mario 3dland? That's kind of tempting. I was holding off of Wii-U titles because of next gen but I may scoop that up.

If people want to line up on Thanksgiving for deals on stuff then let them. Idiots line up a week in advance every year to buy the new Iphone and society seems to be a lot more accepting of that and Black Friday isn't all that different.  It sucks employees are loosing time with their families and I don't like it either, but companies are going to try and beat the competition so that is why some starts will start on Thanksgiving day.  The best way to stop this would be not to go to these shops until after midnight so they get the hint, but people will never do that.  people only boycott or protest something when they have something to gain and if you can gain more family time or a new flat screen for only $200 after 5pm on Thanksgiving day sadly we all know what most people would choose.    Basically stores opening earlier is no different then timed exclusive DLC.  It is used to try and entice you to buying from company A and instead of company B.

These deals look like a desperate attempt to clear out some overstocked inventory.  Come in and get a deal on all these shitty games!!!  No thanks.

I'm so tired of all these big box retailers stealing holiday's away from us.  Retail sales people hardly make any money and most retail employees take those jobs out of necessity.  Thanksgiving is a time to have a nice meal with your friends and family.  It's not about standing in line with a bunch of rabid dogs clawing for some ridiculous deal on a toy/video game.  I don't see what the draw of standing in line outside in the cold to get one of a handful of items that have an ultra-low price.  Even if you get to the item, it's still several hours before you can complete the check-out.

None of these early sales are necessary.  People aren't going to spend more money because of a few extra hours of sales on Thanksgiving.  These sales can wait until Friday.  Seriously, with the advent of the internet, why aren't all these sales carried out online?  Store traffic versus online traffic...does it really matter.  I bet you can get people to spend more money online in the comfort of their homes, than when they are frustrated crawling and clawing over people in an overcrowded store.

@ScreamDream They are releasing different Wii U bundles for Christmas. I know there is a New Super Mario U and New Super Luigi U Wii U coming and there is a Zelda Wind Walker Wii U out now. I'm pretty sure there are more coming as well.

@Megavideogamer The Wii U has been gaining traction since the price drop and new bundles. Even though you make good points, there are some questionable ones in your post. The Wii U is more powerful than the previous HD twins. Several articles have proven this. Plus, if it wasn't, kids don't discuss POWER with their mothers. They just say they want certain systems. Because they are spoiled, she then goes out and gets it no questions asked. Plus, if Nintendo advertises Wii Fit U right, Soccer Mom may even get the system for herself and the Mario games would be for the kids. It seems like you personally don't want the U to do well and you think your points mean that not even one will sell on black friday. It's quite sad.

GH05T-666
GH05T-666

@Megavideogamer A lot of people already have a PS3 or XBOX360 now days. I think only people who dont have one would be buying them over a Wii U.

@tomservo51 I work at a Walmart and we actually had to put signs up because we had so many returns.  Normally we don't take back open software, but I had to explain to the store manager that a lot of people don't realize it has a mandatory install or read the back of the box stating as much.

That said, I never understood why Microsoft released a 4 gig 360.  I understand wanting to push sales, and it seems to have worked, but I'm willing to bet there were a lot of pissed off consumers who don't quite understand just how little space that is.

@Adavanter Did you mean Super Mario 3D World? Because that's the Wii U one. 3D Land is the 3DS title.

@toddx77 The "losing time with families" argument is common amongst those who dislike Black Friday shopping. I agree it's creeping earlier and earlier into November, but keep in mind that there are indeed individuals who either (a) do not have close family ties and thus don't celebrate Thanksgiving or (b) are willing to sacrifice some family time on the big day for time later after earning holiday pay at their workplace.

Also, thanks to Washington incompetence, employers are in the driver's seat right now. For every retail employee that says they don't want to work holidays, said employer can find at least 10 other people who will gladly do so to get some money coming in ... and believe me, they know if.

@Suaron_x As soon as retailers stop making money doing this sort of thing, they'll stop.  The fact that they make tremendous amounts of money in this one day (I used to manage a GameStop store and we'd make as much on Black Friday as we would in a normal month) shows that the consumer demand is there.  The same is true of starting sales and being open on Thanksgiving day.  If customers didn't want to go in to shop, there wouldn't be money to be made by being open.

Who are you to say they should not provide products and promotions that their customers clearly want?  You don't have to like it, and you don't have to participate in the shopping madness (I don't either; I tried once and it was a terrible experience and not worth the meager savings on what I was shopping for).

Perhaps these retail employees that you're so kindly watching out for actually WANT the hours that come with massively increased business due to these sorts of sales.  And perhaps there are relatively poor customers that badly want to give their kids some nice gifts on Christmas, and sacrificing some of their time to obtain more items for lower prices allows them to provide more for their children than they'd otherwise be able to.  By focusing so much effort into this small time period, retailers are able to offer far lower prices than usual by compensating in increased volume.  It's a win-win situation.

@Suaron_x Just thought I should let you know that some retail people do make a decent amount of money. I was making $12 an hour working overnights at Walmart. That was a huge pay increase from my job before that. And working there was pretty fun, great coworkers and benefits. This was in Fargo, ND so obviously my experience doesn't apply nationwide.

Now as far as Black Friday creeping into Thursday. That is absolutely ridiculous and kind of sickening. I hope anyone who misses out on Thanksgiving dinner with their family so they can go shopping gets crushed by the guilt.

@Crazyguy105 Been like that for a couple years now. Thankfully when I worked at Toys R Us I worked a completely normal shift on Black Friday. Horrible company though, can't wait for them to go out of business.

@Kjranu @Moun7ainMan Its true PC's will always be super ahead of consoles. I've thought about getting back in to PC gaming. I enjoy it immensely. I'm also waiting to see how the Steam box turns out. Which is probably more console than PC but I can't afford a high end PC on my student income. Some day I'll get one of those wall-mounted water-cooled ultra PC's. Someday...
