Toys R Us getting fresh Xbox One stock for Thanksgiving weekend

Online stock for Xbox One and PS4 depleted overnight.

Toys R Us will be replenishing its Xbox One stock for the Thanksgiving weekend in the US, the retailer has told GameSpot.

Fresh Xbox One units will be available from Toys R Us stores across the US from Saturday morning, while supplies last.

Microsoft launched the Xbox One worldwide last Friday, with the company boasting over a million sales in its opening weekend. Sony has also reported sales of one million for the PlayStation 4, though its console does not go on sale in Europe until tomorrow.

Toys R Us had previously offered additional shipments of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Toysrus.com as of midnight today, although both consoles have now sold out.

I found tons of Xbox Ones in my area.  Its the good thing about living in a semi-rural area.  Bought 2 at Gamestop, and saw at least 2 on the shelves at Walmart.  No kidding, I was surprised.  One Gamestop sold out at 4am, so I drove 15 minutes to the next town and they had them.  850$ on Ebay if anyone wants to buy one from me.

"...though its console does not go on sale in Europe until tomorrow". Really gstop? First you completely ignore this when you compared the sales, then you make half asses statement only mentioning Europe, when in fact PS4 only sold in 2 countries, U.S. and Canada xD

Unsold merchandise from other stores, most likely. Demand for the Xbone is at major lows.

Xbox one barely sold a mill in a day at launch, that was world wide, how is there a shortage of systems when PS4 sold 1 mill in just the US and still had another mill to sell?

it is funny how all these ppl on here have either went through the trouble of finding an xbox, and have done so (right) when they dont want one, and everyone says the same and have also been to both launches.....but the ones that want one, cant find any..... unless you work for these stores and know that these are not black friday stock, you shouldnt speculate on either systems stock.

there was 2 people in line for black friday at my walmart for the xbones when they had like 30 consoles in stock. meanwhile, there were 35 plus people in line for playstation 4 when they only had 10

So the xbones that didn't sell they're pretending are new stock to make it seem like they're flying off the shelves. Haha, well done Toys'R'Us, it might actually work and you might get rid of the 10 you have out back.

There's still stock of Xbox Ones at Best Buy up here in Vancouver so I don't think we really need more...

@Max_160 What difference does it make, if the Xbox One had launched in the very same territories only, the results would be the same. This is a supply issue. The article would have been the same.

@Max_160 Oh good god, get the hell over it. You are so fanboyed, you can''t even reading an article without picking it apart for semantics.

@Kradnam2 Not sure if your mentally ill or just fucking stupid. I'll assume both.

@Kradnam2 Where did you get your stats from, sounds like you made them up to support your point, not doing a great job I might add. The truth is, the demand for both systems right now outweigh the supply. So even if the Xbox One launched in only the U.S and Canada like the PS4 did, the results would have been the same. The PS4 demand is higher but it does change the fact that as of now, the consoles are pretty much neck and neck in sales despite the higher cost of the Xbox One.

@Kradnam2 The PS4 was released in 1 edition. While the Xbox One had a different version such as its "Day One Edition" and a "Standard Edition". Sony was able to continue building the same thing with no pause while Microsoft had to change from the Day One Edition to the other often.

@silentsnake909 found tons of Ones in my area...I bought two today at around 3pm.  Saw 2 more at another store, and that's all the room they had on the shelves, so there was probably more in the stock room.

@Kradnam2 @rasterror When you're a gamer you you'd be surptised how far you'd go. The only systems I've never owned were Neo Geo, Panasonic 3DO, PS Vita, and a PS4.
