Top 10 Movies at the US Box Office This Weekend

The numbers are in, and Disney's Moana was the No. 1 movie at the US box office for this long holiday weekend. Moana pulled in $55.5 million for the Friday-Sunday period and $81.1 million from Thanksgiving to today, November 27.

As Entertainment Weekly points out, Moana's debut was about $13 million behind Disney's juggernaut Frozen, which made $93.3 million in 2013 when it debuted over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Rounding out the Top 5 movies at the US box office this weekend were Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Doctor Strange, Allied, and Arrival. Bad Santa 2 had an "underwhelming" weekend, making $6.1 million. Another notable miss was Rules Don't Apply, which made $1.6 million, which comes out to $661 per theater across 2,382 locations.
