Research firm Superdata today published its report for September 2016 digital game revenue, revealing which games brought in the most money on console, PC, and mobile.

Destiny was the top-grossing console game, fueled by the launch of Rise of Iron. FIFA 17, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Grand Theft Auto V, and NBA 2K17 rounded out the top five. According to Superdata, Destiny pulled in $59.1 million from digital sales during September, up significantly from $7.2 million in August. The console market accounted for $493 million worldwide during September, Superdata said. "Franchises like Destiny and Call of Duty can not only charge a premium upfront price, but continue to take the lion's share of console spending for months or even years," the firm reported.
