Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell announced

Ubi Soft unveils the next Tom Clancy action game for the PC and Xbox.

Comments

Ubi Soft has announced its next Tom Clancy action game, Splinter Cell, which is currently in development at the publisher's Montreal studio. Unlike the previous Tom Clancy games, such as Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear, in which players would join a squad of soldiers and undertake team-based missions, in Splinter Cell, players will play as a solo member of an elite government squad--they'll have to infiltrate enemy installations all alone, without any teammates.

Splinter Cell will focus more on stealth than on straight-ahead fighting--over the course of the game, players will have to sneak past guards and disarm security devices in order to accomplish their missions. The game will be powered by Epic's next-generation Unreal engine.
