The upcoming beta for Respawn Entertainment's online multiplayer game Titanfall will begin this Friday, February 14--Valentine's Day.

The Titanfall beta is offered only on Xbox One and PC (sorry Xbox 360 fans) and you can sign up for a chance to get in through the game's website. It's unclear how Respawn is deciding who gets in, though if you haven't found out by February 17, you're out of luck.

Respawn and publisher Electronic Arts have released a Titanfall beta trailer (below), which highlights some of the frenetic action you can expect from the much-anticipated futuristic shooter. Titanfall launches in full for Xbox One and PC on March 11, while the Xbox 360 version--which was created externally by Bluepoint Games--arrives two weeks later on March 25.

This year's Titanfall game is coming only to Xbox consoles and PC, but the series will be around for a "long, long time," EA said yesterday. Potential future installments could come to PlayStation or Nintendo platforms.
