Now Playing: Titanfall 2 - Single Player Gameplay Trailer

Although the video has since been pulled, archives of it are available online. During it EA's Devin Bennett is shown on stage, announcing Titanfall 2 will have a full single-player campaign which will be playable offline.

"Titanfall 2's single-player is crafted to dive deeper into the Titanfall universe, exploring the unique bonds between Pilot and Titan, and taking full advantage of the movement and combat, to deliver a feeling a feeling of being unstoppable together."

The trailer featured a voiceover in which the AI for a Titan explains that its original Pilot has been killed in action and has now been linked to a new Pilot. It goes on to show a new reptile-like enemy type, and a number of new Titans.

It also looks like there are also new Titans that are more nimble than those in the previous game and seem to have unique abilities. One can be seen wielding a gatling gun, while another is capable of kung-fu. In one memorable sequence players enter the cockpit of a Titan and are dropped into battle from space.

The trailer ends by confirming an October 28 release date. You can check out some screenshots from the trailer in the gallery above.

Unlike the first game, Titanfall 2 will be released on PS4 in addition to Xbox One and PC. The game will be showcased at EA Play, which is the publisher's E3 showcase.

A recent leak suggested Titanfall 2 would include new pilot abilities, a grappling hook, and bigger maps. The report also claimed Titanfall 2 would arrive in October.

Publisher EA doesn't have a booth at E3 this year, but it will be hosting a live briefing on Sunday, June 12 at 1 PM PST / 5PM EST. You can watch EA's E3 2016 briefing on GameSpot, here.
