Microsoft had big plans for weekly updates to the Game Room--its recently released retro offering on the Xbox 360 and PC--but those plans seemingly fell by the wayside with only sporadic updates since the service was launched on March 24 this year. But it looks like the company is getting back on track, with the latest pack hitting Xbox Live earlier this week.

The Game Room Pack 4 comes bundled with seven titles, with one of the standouts being the early '80s classic Time Pilot, which saw players take control of a futuristic jet fighter as it travels through five different time periods. Arcade veteran Asteroids also makes an appearance, as does Space Duel. Early console ports make up the rest of the releases this week, with Demons to Diamonds, Stampede, and Grand Prix from the Atari 2600, as well as Shark! Shark! from Intellivision.

Game Room titles can be purchased for play on both the Xbox 360 and PC for 400 Microsoft points ($5) or for an individual platform at MSP 240 ($3) apiece. Single rounds of any individual game can be played for MSP 40 ($.50). The Game Room also supports Xbox Live Avatars, as well as voice chat, 1080p graphics, cross-platform leaderboards, and achievements.
