Tiberian Sun Special Edition Announced

If there's one game that doesn't need any incentive to be purchased, it's Westwood's Tiberian Sun. The sequel to Command & Conquer has been in development for close to three years and has had its fair share of delays, leaving fans of the series starving for the game's release. Nonetheless, Westwood Studios announced Thursday afternoon that it will offer a collector's version of the game to anyone who pre-orders it directly from Electronic Arts (1-888-212-1702) or Electronics Boutique.

"The collector's edition is for the devoted Command & Conquer fans who have waited so patiently for the sequel to one of the most popular game of all time," said Laura Miele, VP of marketing for Westwood Studios.

Each Tiberian Sun Special Edition box will be individually numbered, come packaged in a silver foil and contain a game manual autographed by the development team. Additionally, a handcrafted pewter NOD or GDI figurine will be bundled with each game.

TS Special Edition, however, won't be available for purchase after late August, when Tiberian Sun ships to stores.
