THQ's Tak makes TV debut
Computer-animated show featuring Power of Juju star premieres tonight on Nickelodeon.
THQ's Tak series hasn't seen a new game released in almost two years, but the franchise is set to emerge from its slumber tonight. THQ partner Nickelodeon is set to air the first half-hour episode of its computer-animated Tak and the Power of Juju series tonight at 8 p.m. EST.
Like the games, the TV show takes place in a tribal fantasy world and follows a teenage shaman's apprentice who must use the sacred power of juju to thwart the plans of the evil Tlaloc. The show boasts a cast of celebrity voice actors, with the voice of Tak being provided by Hal Sparks (Talk Soup, Queer as Folk), with Patrick Warburton (The Venture Brothers, the live-action version of The Tick) reprising his role from the games as Tak's buddy Lok.
