THQ Wireless expands into southern Europe

THQ Wireless has today announced the opening of its first office in southern Europe, as well as the appointment of a new manager for the territory. Lionel Maestri, formerly of In-Fusio, will head up the new Madrid office, which provides the company with a base from which to direct and manage activities throughout Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and Greece.

"Lionel has outstanding experience in the mobile sector, which will prove important to us as we seek to expand our presence in this region," said Adam Comiskey, general manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at THQ Wireless. "He will be responsible for building the business throughout existing THQ Wireless distributors as well as developing new relationships with telecommunications companies, media organizations, and handset manufacturers."
